bow the knee

What a privilege to come into God's presence,
Just to linger with the one who set me free.
As i lift my eyes and see His awesome glory,
I remember who He is and bow the knee!!

chorus: Bow the knee! Bow the knee!
He is king of all the ages bow the knee!!
God alone, on His throne,
see Him high and lifted up and bow the knee!!
kneel before Him all adore Him,
as you live to love Him more bow the knee.

i don't know the reason for the spontaneous posting of this, but i would like to say it is one of my favorite hymns. the music is awesome and the words speak a sermon for themselves. how God even He is the eternal ruler of the universe, the Author of Life, The Creator, yet He sent his only Son to die for us, we can only think of the love this required, God's love, agape love, we can only but think and realize that...
He is king of all the ages bow the knee!! ...kneel before Him all adore Him,
as you live to love Him more bow the knee.

the Lord has taught me recently to bow the knee to Him and put Him back on the throne of my heart. i was reading in oswald chamber's my utmost for His highest last night and i read this illustration of a bow and how humans are like a bow God stretches us to where we think we can't take any more but later on when we hit the bullseye we realize what it was for. i have learned to trust the Lord in every aspect of my life.
