who is going to the olympics?

well i have spent pretty much all of my evening watching the senior nationals of ice skating. it was a very interesting day. for the guys johnny weir placed first (i don't like him, he is most definetely gay), evan something (his program was very good and he will appeal to the female judges cause he isn't too bad looking), michael savoie placed third (i loved his program it was the prettiest music and it was just soo well choreographed). okay for the women sasha cohen placed first (thank goodness she needs to take over in the figure skating world) and kimmie meisner took second (this girl is only 16 she is amazing!!!) and emily hughes got third (her sister sarah hughes won the gold the last olympics) anyways all the people i mentioned are going to the olympics other than emily because michelle kwan is going instead. i don't like her she has had her reign in the world of figure skating it is time to get her off the throne. anyways. i feel really confident about this year's team and if you remember in november of last year i made a guess of who i thought was going to go to the olympics and i did pretty good. i guessed kimmie, sasha, and emily. out of those three i only got one wrong. pretty good if you ask me. well hope ya'll watch the figure skating this year because there is going to be some fierce competition.

oh well it will be really good. you might as well watch just a little for me. ice skating is fun to watch. i think it is very entertaining. i mean my dad doesn't mind watching it.

i will probably disappoint as well. unless my wife wants me to watch. women can make you do things you wouldn't normally do.

i did want to put my two cents in about michelle kwan. normally i am not in favor of violence, but i think somebody needs to do a nancy kerigan on that woman. she has had her turn (and choked, twice i might add). you shouldn't opt out of all of the major competitions of the year and waltz into the olympics. she should bow out gracefully and give emily hughes a shot. she at least earned it. maybe mkwan is still bitter at the hughes family b/c big sis sarah knocked her socks off last olympics.

also, fskate, what do you think of Russia's Irina Slutskaya (i did not make that name up). some people are saying that she'll take it all in torino.

plus, did you think a guy (who doesn't really give a rip about figure skating) could talk reasonably intelligently about it? ESPN.com is an amazing thing.

later,
vc

well i think that irina slutskya has a definete chance but i bet ya that sasha cohen is going to do very well in torino. she is prepared she landed almost all of her jumps in nationals. the only thing she really messed up on was that she two footed her triple axle. i think it will be a close one between them. and yes i know who irina slutskya is. i will check out this website you sent me. see if this guy knows anything of what he is talking about.

just in case you have trouble finding it, here is a more direct link to the article i was referring to. btw, the person who wrote the article was a woman not a man.
